  • In this notebook, students will be introduced to data science management methods (e.g. manipulating tables, naming columns, taking a subset of a data, etc.) using a dataset of emissions over the span of 1 year. The goal is to teach students about the atmosphere while answering questions such as: Why are emissions higher in the daytime? Why are concentrations higher at night and lower in the daytime? What are the differences between emissions over a 24 hr cycle for summer and winter? What is the average data over a month (e.g. what do emissions look like over the month of June?). Students should be able to calculate these using some table methods from Data-8 as well as create some visualizations. Incorporate widgets for interactivity. [This notebook assumes students have completed Notebook 0 - Introduction to Jupyter & Python]
